Shopping and foodie fundraisers

This autumn has been incredibly busy with some amazing creative fundraising events hosted by volunteers, staff and local businesses taking place. Earlier this month, Sally Plimmer opened her lovely home for a day of clothes shopping and treats from Fiona Williams of Beau Boutique. We are eternally grateful to Sally and Fiona for raising over £1200 from just this one event.

In October, Jenny (our new HSW administrator) hosted an evening with Independence Market, a meal delivery service committed to helping families shop less, live more and eat well. Robert Hocking, founder, and his chef colleague brought Jenny and her guests dishes from their delicious range of fresh meals. £225 was raised from this one dinner party – and Robert even took away the dirty dishes!

Pizza was on the menu last month with a “pay what you like” party at Southside Shopping Centre. The team at PizzaStorm treated us with a selection of pizza breads, salads and even a decadent Nutella calzone! YUM. All customers were invited to donate the cost of their pizzas to HSW and £310 was raised on the night.

If you have an idea for a “pop up” fundraiser, such as any of the above, get in touch and we’ll let you know how best to support HSW. We love that the Wandsworth community supports us in so many ways.
