Could you or someone you know spare a few hours a week to make a difference to a family? Could you use the knowledge and experience gained from looking after your own family, along with up-to-date training, to support others who are struggling?
Volunteers are central to our work at Home-Start Wandsworth. They provide invaluable emotional support, practical help and friendship to parents in need. By visiting families in their own homes, volunteers provide a lifeline to families who are finding it hard to cope.
You could help make a long-lasting difference to a Wandsworth family by joining our team of volunteers.
All you need are empathy, enthusiasm and reliability. It only requires 2 to 4 hours a week and we provide you with up-front and ongoing training and support.
Volunteering is a great way to gain opportunities for professional development and for enhancing your career prospects.
Sessions usually run from 9.30-2.30pm for 10 sessions (one session a week).
Venue: 20-22 York Road SW11 3QA
If you are interested we would love to hear from you, we are always looking for candidates and our next session will be held early next year.
